The Zildjian Z Custom Thrash Ride Cymbal features both the brightness and the pitch of the standard K Custom Rides but it adds to that a softer touch that gives the cymbal a great amount of crashability in addition to its uses as a ride cymbal. These rides have a nice, wide dynamic range and can produce some great tones. They’re very flexible, too—you can crash them or use them as either your primary or secondary ride. Creating using specially formulated bronze alloy and special techniques, the Zildjian Z Custom Thrash Ride Cymbal has a drier and more complex tone than the standard Zildjian K line of rides. This is due to the complex hammering process used on the cymbals.
