Zildjian K Custom Ride Cymbal
Described as being a great cymbal for general use, the Zildjian K Custom Ride Cymbal features a great ping with a nice dark wash. It’s got a loud, cutting bell that can reach through just about any other noise, and the clean, bright stick definition rounds out the offerings. One of the downsides to the K Custom Ride is that it doesn’t offer much in the way of crashing, but then again, as a ride cymbal, that’s to be expected. Overall, this is a nice, versatile cymbal that’s not too bright, not too dark, but a nice middle. It’s very good for just about any type of music, and while it may not be the greatest ride you’ll ever play, it is a very solid cymbal. What We Found
The K custom line of cymbals from Zildjian are based on those designed by Kerope Zildjian. They are specially created to provide players with more volume and a quicker decay than standard K cymbals. They’re created using a very complex hammering process that makes them dry. They’re very popular with jazz players because of this, although they can be used for many types of music. They’re made from 80% copper, 20% tin, and some traces of silver.
