It has a semi-dark, warm tone that is still quite musical. While the Vault Crossover is primarily a ride cymbal, it can be crashed without losing any stick articulation. What we Found
The Vault Crossover features some very unique hammering and lathing on both the top and the bottom. On the top, the single-line lathing creates both the very interesting look of the cymbal and adds to its unique ability to combine brightness and darkness into a very rich tone. The partial lathing leads to an increase in articulation, while the outer perimeter lathing on the bottom of the cymbal gives it more crash capability. The entire Vault Crossover Ride is handcrafted by Sabian’s top craftsmen out of B20 bronze and then finished with a natural finish. This ride cymbal can be used as a ride, a crash, or an accent cymbal for almost all types of music, making it incredibly versatile.
