Sabian AAX Dry Ride Cymbal
The Sabian AAX Dry Ride Cymbal has a nice fast response and a very clear, very clean stick definition. It’s also got a nice bright tone to it that is completely free of any overtones. Want to see just how responsive it is? Just lightly tap it with your stick or even your finger and you’ll hear a very cool sound. It features an auto-focus response that makes it very sensitive to any touch. This response also helps equalize the pitch and purify the sound since it filters out any overtones that might conflict with it. One thing the Sabian AAX Dry Ride doesn’t have is a loud bell. In fact, the bell is pretty small and, while it’s decent, it’s not going to give you an amazingly great sound. This isn’t a cymbal to purchase if you rely on the bell for a lot. What we Found
It is, however, a great cymbal if you play jazz, especially if you play at a fairly low volume. The warm wash and high pitch really shine here, as does the overall quality of the cymbal. Overall, if you don’t need a loud bell and are looking for a ride that’s going to give you plenty of response and definition, the Sabian AAX Dry Ride Cymbal is a good choice.
