Paiste RUDE Mega Power Ride Cymbal
Paiste on occasion invites a popular professional drummer into their labs to help create an awesome cymbal. That’s the case with the Paiste RUDE Mega Power Ride Cymbal. Working with John Dolmayan, the drummer for System of a Down, Paiste created this monster cymbal. The RUDE Mega Power, also called the Eclipse, is an extra heavy ride cymbal that has two volumes: loud and incredibly loud. It features a full stick sound, a lively intensive, and a long sustain. The bell is quite simply enormous and is very separated. It has a nice, deep sound to it as well. The clean mix and wide range add to this sound. The RUDE Mega Power does, however, have a balanced feel to it, despite the huge amount of power it has. Everyone who has used the RUDE Mega Power Ride has commented on just how loud it will sound. It’s 24 inches of pure volume, so don’t expect it to be your cymbal of choice if you play soft jazz or anything that doesn’t require tons of volume.
