Meinl Classics Medium Ride Cymbal
Not all ride cymbals are created equal. Some just don’t seem to provide that great ping noise you want or don’t have a very good sustain. However, the Meinl Classics Medium Ride Cymbal provides just about everything you’ll ever need in a ride cymbal. It’s very balanced, providing a clear ping, a nice, medium bell, a good sustain, and a nice shimmering wash. Its full and warm sound works great for metal, pop, rock, and country music. These ride cymbals may not be good for those who play softer music; some have said that the bell is a bit too sharp and overpowering for jazz music, for example.What we Found
While many of Meinl’s cymbals are made in Turkey, the Classics series is actually created in Germany. All of these cymbals are made from B8 bronze alloy, which gives them a lot of attack, an explosive sound, and a medium decay. They are designed to blend very well with other cymbals, making them a nice addition to any completed drum kit. Some users have also commented on the fact that while the Meinl Classics series is made to provide a great ride sound, they also provide a nice crash sound.
